Typically, I would have Mia come on here and write about what she loved most about this gorgeous outfit from one of our favorite brands, Me.n.u, which by the way, we are BEYOND obsessed with, but today I wanted to jump on here as her mother to talk to you about something that’s been on my mind lately.
We started Mia’s blog about 5 years ago, and since then, the mini blogosphere has grown tremendously. With all the accounts surfacing daily, it’s interesting to see the various styles and outfits the girls are dressing in. I feel that sometimes it could be challenging to tell my daughter she can only dress a certain way because it’s “appropriate for her age” when so many young girls, her age and younger, are dressing the way my friends and I would dress to go out. An 11 year old girl should be able to dress like an 11 year old girl, no matter if she is a blogger or not. As a blogger and influencer “The Petite Poet,” I like to send out a message that is not only positive to girls Mia’s age and beyond, but also give them fashion inspiration that is appropriate for their age, especially because of the “tween” stage these girls are currently going through. It could be tough for both the girl and the parent (I know, because I’m going through it at the moment), to choose the right shoes, the right dress, ext. for the said occasion, but no matter how tough it is to say no to your daughter when she wants those 5 inch heels from Steve Madden because they fit her and she saw her favorite blogger wearing them in her last post, she’ll thank you in the long run.
Thanks to brands like Me.n.u., it’s become a bit easier to stay on trend and dress my daughter age appropriate. With styles like this white knit sweater, Mia looks beyond beautiful and I am confident to send her to any occasion wearing this gorgeous outfit. This brand has tons of selection for you to choose from for casual days as well as a bit more dressed up.
I hope that our blog has only given you positive feelings and most importantly inspiration that will lead to you and your daughter enjoying your time together shopping for the latest trend, and talking about ideas that are important in our forever evolving society.
